Eloping in Colorado Springs means trading the pressure of a big traditional wedding for something way more you—intentional, beautiful, and full of adventure. Whether you’re dreaming of saying your vows on a mountaintop at sunrise, tucked between red rock formations, or in a quiet corner of a charming historic town, Colorado Springs has the perfect backdrop waiting for you.
This place has everything—epic views, peaceful trails, hidden gems, and just the right amount of magic. It’s ideal for couples who want a stress-free day that’s all about love, connection, and creating unforgettable memories in a place that feels totally inspiring.
Let’s talk about what makes it so special…
Let’s be real—it wouldn’t be a Colorado Springs elopement list without Garden of the Gods right at the top! This spot is iconic for a reason. With its jaw-dropping red rock formations, golden light, and sweeping views of Pikes Peak, it’s easily one of the most beautiful (and most popular!) places I photograph elopements.
Whether you’re exchanging vows near the dramatic Kissing Camels, tucked away at the peaceful Siamese Twins, or standing high above it all at High Point Overlook, every corner of this park feels like a scene from a fairytale. It’s accessible, magical, and full of unique spots that make your day feel completely your own.

If you’ve ever dreamed of a fairytale elopement, Glen Eyrie Castle is the place. This hidden gem is tucked right into the foothills of Colorado Springs, surrounded by towering red rocks, quiet gardens, and the most enchanting castle architecture. You can say your vows on the beautifully manicured grounds or inside one of the castle’s dreamy, historic rooms. It’s elegant, romantic, and totally one-of-a-kind—perfect for couples who want a mix of timeless charm and natural Colorado beauty.
If peaceful and serene sounds like your kind of vibe, you’re going to love Manitou Lake. Just a short drive from Colorado Springs, this sweet little spot near Woodland Park offers calm, reflective waters, towering pines, and stunning views of Pikes Peak. It’s quiet, romantic, and perfect for an elopement that feels connected to nature and full of heart.
Looking for something totally unique and full of personality? Manitou Springs is bursting with charm! This quirky little mountain town is full of local art, colorful buildings, and natural mineral springs tucked throughout. You’ll find funky cafés, hidden trails, and some of the most photogenic corners in Colorado. It’s the perfect place for couples who want their elopement to feel fun, laid-back, and a little bit magical.
For couples who love forest vibes and a little adventure, North Cheyenne Cañon is a dream. Picture lush trees, quiet mountain trails, and waterfalls like the stunning Helen Hunt Falls—all just minutes from downtown. There are so many tucked-away ceremony spots here that feel totally private and peaceful. Just keep in mind: the main road can close temporarily during busy times, so planning around weekends or mid-day rush hours is a good idea.
If you’re drawn to historic charm, cobblestone streets, and those sweet small-town vibes, Old Colorado City is such a lovely spot for your elopement. This little neighborhood is full of beautifully preserved buildings, cute shops, and the kind of timeless architecture that adds a touch of vintage romance to your day. One of my favorite spots here is Bancroft Park Pavilion—it has the most adorable gazebo and makes for a simple, intimate ceremony location right in the heart of it all. Plus, you’ll be just steps away from great local cafés and spots to celebrate afterward!
Palmer Park is such a hidden gem right in the middle of Colorado Springs! It offers some of the best views of the city, along with unique rock formations, peaceful trails, and open spaces that feel surprisingly wild for being so close to town. It’s perfect for couples who want a quiet, natural elopement without having to go too far off the beaten path. Plus, the sunsets here? Gorgeous.
If you’re looking for something truly one-of-a-kind, the Paint Mines are it. Located just outside Colorado Springs in Calhan, this otherworldly park is full of vibrant, colorful rock formations that look like they’re straight out of a dream. It’s quiet, surreal, and totally unique—ideal for couples who want their elopement to feel creative, bold, and a little magical. Just be ready to hike in a bit (and bring water!), but the views are 1000% worth it.
If your heart is pulling you toward tall pines, big skies, and mountain magic, Pike National Forest is the place. This massive wilderness area stretches across the Front Range and offers so many beautiful, tucked-away ceremony spots. Whether you want to hike to a private overlook or keep it simple in a quiet grove of trees, this forest gives you space to breathe and celebrate in total peace.
For the ultimate “top of the world” elopement, it doesn’t get more epic than Pikes Peak! At 14,115 feet, it’s one of Colorado’s most iconic mountains—and yes, you can get married at the summit. You can either drive the scenic highway up or take the shuttle, and once you’re at the top, you’ll be greeted with sweeping 360° views that are truly unforgettable. It’s the perfect place for adventurous couples who want a little thrill with their vows (plus—you get to say you got married on a 14er!).
If you’re dreaming of a luxury-meets-nature kind of day, The Broadmoor is such a beautiful option. This iconic five-star resort is rich in history and absolutely stunning—think manicured gardens, sparkling lakes, and elegant interiors that feel straight out of a romantic film. And if you’re not ready to give up that outdoorsy vibe? The Broadmoor also offers wilderness experiences, so you really can have the best of both worlds. It’s classy, scenic, and oh-so dreamy.
Ute Valley Park is one of those peaceful, under-the-radar gems that feels like your own private escape. With rugged rock formations, winding trails, and wide-open views of the mountains, it’s perfect for couples who want something low-key but still jaw-droppingly beautiful. It’s ideal for a quiet elopement with just you, nature, and the person you love most.

Figuring out if your dream elopement location in Colorado Springs needs a permit can be a bit tricky. While not all locations require a permit, some sought-after spots do. Garden of the Gods is one of the locations that no permits are required!
I am a huge FOODIE so I hope you enjoy my personal 5 Star recommendations for restaurants! After your elopement, celebrate your love with a delicious meal at one of Colorado Springs’ top restaurants. Here are a few of my favorites and they are all so unique, unlike anywhere you’ve dined before!
For a luxurious dining experience, Prime 25 offers a sophisticated atmosphere and a menu featuring prime steaks and seafood. My favorite thing that Prime 25 offers is a variety of dipping sauces for your meal. It is perfect for a romantic post-ceremony dinner.
The Rabbit Hole is a unique, underground restaurant that serves up an eclectic menu in a whimsical setting inspired by Alice in Wonderland. It is a favorite amongst locals and is such a fun place to enjoy dinner!
Enjoy a cozy and intimate dining experience at The Melting Pot. Where you can enjoy a 4 course meal including salad, cheese fondue, entre with a variety of cooking styles, and chocolate fondue. You cook your food on a hot plate at the dining table which feels so immersive and fun to do with your significant other. This has been an all time favorite for Date night for my Husband and I for years!
Evergreen is a European cuisine has a cozy interior and an outdoor terrace. The food is to die for with gourmet cuisine and European desserts. The coffee and hot tea options bring the entire meal together. It is recommended to make reservations since there is limited seating.
For a one-of-a-kind dining experience, visit The Airplane Restaurant. Dine inside a fully intact Boeing KC-97 tanker and enjoy steaks, burgers, sandwiches, pretty much any comfort food your hearts desire!
I am a huge Sushi fan and I LOVE Sushi AI! Their sushi is always perfection and is priced out at a reasonable cost. Their atmosphere is a little more laid back and their staff is always so friendly. If you love sushi this might be the perfect spot for you!
As the name suggests, the Edelweiss restaurant serves the best German cuisine. They have a charming, cozy setting and offer really hearty, traditional German food!
A recent new favorite of mine, Bonny and Read has an incredible menu for a high end dining experience you will LOVE! Enjoy fresh seafood and delectable steaks that brings the harbor to Colorado Springs. If you want a classy night out in downtown Colorado Springs, this is the place for you!
If you want to do something more than just have a good meal at one of the above mentioned restaurants, there are plenty of activities here for you!
One of the best things about Colorado Springs? It’s absolutely stunning year-round. Every season has its own unique beauty and vibe, so the best time to elope really depends on what kind of experience you and your partner are dreaming of. Whether you’re into golden fall light, snowy mountain backdrops, or wildflower-filled trails—there’s a season that will fit your vision perfectly. Let’s break it down:
Spring in Colorado Springs is full of new life—melting snow, budding trees, and wildflowers starting to pop up in late spring. It can be a little unpredictable weather-wise (hello, surprise rain showers), but if you’re okay with rolling with it, it’s a beautiful time for a quieter, more private elopement experience. Tourist traffic is still on the lower side, and the soft greens and floral touches give everything that fresh, romantic feel. Just bring a cute jacket and be ready for a little springtime magic!
Summer in Colorado Springs is such a vibe! Long sunny days, wildflowers in full bloom, and endless opportunities for adventure—what’s not to love? The weather is generally beautiful, though it can get a little toasty midday, especially if you’re planning to be out on the trails. Morning or golden hour ceremonies are perfect for keeping things cooler and more romantic.
It’s definitely the busiest season with tourists, but don’t worry—I’ve got a few secret spots up my sleeve if you’re craving that peaceful, just-you-two kind of setting. Whether you’re hiking to your ceremony spot, picnicking in the park, or catching sunset views, summer offers the perfect mix of fun, freedom, and so much natural beauty.
Fall in Colorado Springs is pure magic. The trees light up in shades of golden yellow, amber, and burnt orange—turning the landscape into an actual painting. If you’re dreaming of those soft, cozy vibes with stunning foliage all around you, this is your season.
The weather is usually still lovely, especially in early fall, but as the months go on, it can definitely start to get chilly (and yes, even bring a surprise snowstorm or two!). That crisp mountain air, though? So refreshing. Just be sure to bundle up a bit, especially if you’re planning a sunrise or high-elevation ceremony. Fall is also a little less busy than summer, which makes it an amazing time for a more peaceful, intimate elopement.
If you’re dreaming of snow-covered trees, frosty mountain peaks, and that dreamy winter wonderland vibe, Colorado Springs in the winter is so magical. There’s something incredibly peaceful about a snowy elopement—just you two, wrapped up warm, surrounded by quiet beauty.
That said, outdoor ceremonies can definitely be chilly, so layering up is a must! Think cute coats, cozy hand warmers, and maybe even a thermos of hot cocoa for after your vows. Some areas may be a little less accessible with snow, but there are still plenty of stunning spots that stay open year-round—and the snowy backdrops make for the coziest elopement photos ever. If you’re up for a little winter adventure, this season brings a quiet, romantic kind of magic you won’t forget.
Let’s talk about the legal stuff—because making your elopement official is actually super easy in Colorado (yay for that!).
Get Your Marriage License
To get legally married in Colorado Springs, you’ll need to stop by the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office. The process is pretty quick and simple, and the license is valid right away—no waiting period! Just make sure to use it within 35 days anywhere in the state of Colorado.
You don’t have to get the license in the same county where you’re eloping, but you do need to return it to the county where it was issued to make it official.
If you’re unsure or want help navigating this part, I’m always happy to walk you through it step by step. I’ve done this a lot, and I’ve got your back!

I’m a little… different. Think of me as the chaotic good of wedding photography—I thrive on creativity, spontaneity, and capturing love stories that break the mold. I’m a HUGE nerd and a hopeless romantic.
Posing can feel as awkward as your first time waking up to, "oh it's you, you're finally awake." (Currently holding my breathe for the couples that know that reference!) I have been there! That’s why you deserve a photographer who gets it, who makes you feel comfortable, and who will have you laughing so hard you forget the camera is even there. (Seriously, I’m incredibly silly, and I’ll probably say something ridiculous just to get that real, genuine smile out of you.)
I live for the unfiltered, joy-filled, beautifully messy moments—whether it’s the emotion of your first dance, the bouquet toss, or the inside jokes that only you and your partner understand. Your wedding day should be as uniquely you as your fandoms, your inside jokes, and your love story.
Are you the kind of person who follows the rules just because? No? Then why have a wedding that does? Ditch the cookie-cutter and embrace your weird, wonderful, nerdy selves. Hire not just a photographer, but a fellow geek, an adventurer, and a storyteller who will capture your love story in all its epic, legendary, and meme-worthy glory.
"Amazing is just that, amazing! It was overwhelming to find the right photographer for our engagement session and wedding, but I’m so glad we found her! At the time, my husband and I were living overseas but Amazing kept constant communication with us even with the 8 hour time difference. When we finally got to meet her in person she was so sweet and made both us feel comfortable right away. When we got back our photos from the engagement session, we knew we made the right choice! On the day of the wedding, Amazing and her team were on time, professional, and we’re able to get the shots they needed even with our large bridal party. Our photos are absolutely perfect and we couldn’t be happier. I will always recommend her to anyone who’s looking for a photographer and I hope we can use her again for more photos in the future! Thank you Amazing."
"Her name defines her! She is an Amazing human and photographer She was everywhere we needed her to be on our wedding day. "Amazing took our engagement photos and then our wedding photos about a year later. We couldn't be more thrilled with the results! Her work is truly an art form and it's so clear to see how much she loves her career. I chose Amazing over other photographers based on her vibes alone! Her personality is everything you could want in a wedding photographer. She's professional, but without being stuffy. She knows how to have fun, she's friendly, and easy to socialize with. She's trustworthy and reliable as she was always on time. She captured all the joy and beauty of our wedding day and we will cherish our pictures forever!"
-Katlyn
"There are not enough stars I could give, or positive words I could say. Amazing was an exceptional photographer for our wedding. She helped make the day as stress free as possible. She worked seamlessly with our coordinator to capture all the best moments. The weather was uncooperative for the entire day, but that didn’t slow her down, she rolled with it. She was out in the rain with my husband and I doing our first look, and then capturing some of the most beautiful before pics. She somehow managed to be both easy going and direct. She had great communication leading up to and during the wedding day. Honestly, if she lived near me I would have Amazing take all of my professional photos! Thank you for helping to make our day absolutely perfect!"
-Samantha
"Amazing and her second photographer did an absolute fabulous job at capturing our big day! We couldn’t be more pleased with how accommodating she was during the whole process. From our engagement pictures to our wedding pictures; all of it was stunning. I wish she lived closer so she could be our photographer for all life’s precious moments. She went above and beyond and delivered more pictures than ever expected. I would recommend her to anyone that ever needs a photographer. Thanks again Amazing, your name says it all :)"
-Brandi
"We booked Amazing for both our engagement photos, as well as our wedding. The pictures for both turned out absolutely incredible and she made sure to capture all of the special moments at our wedding. She is so much fun to work with and I would happily book with her again! Our wedding album was stunning and exceeded our expectations. The quality of the album was impressive and Amazing went above and beyond with this as well. Photos on her site are exactly what you can expect to receive back when you book her. You will not be disappointed!!"
